An Afternoon Fit for Royalty

Posted on: 2023-05-05 10:30:53News
Coronation Afternoon Tea

The notion of afternoon tea is first attributed to Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford. With supper served fashionably late in stately homes across the country, the idea of staving off hunger between meals soon caught on. It didn't take long for the practice to reach the royal households, with Queen Elizabeth continuing the tradition and often opting for scones with jam and clotted cream (with the jam on first, of course).

For a treat fit for Royalty, Hastings Hotels invites you to a glorious Afternoon Tea experience, exclusively designed to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. Mark this momentous occasion with a regal afternoon tea experience, consisting of decadent cakes, dainty sandwiches, and freshly baked scones worthy of the royal occasion.
