Hastings Hotels Trainee Manager Programme

Develop Your Future in Hospitality

Our two-year Trainee Manager Programme offers an outstanding opportunity to build a successful career in hospitality management. You’ll gain hands-on experience across key operational areas, receive high-quality industry training, and benefit from ongoing support to help you achieve your long-term career goals.

Placement

Over the two years, you will complete 6 placements, moving to a new property and department every four months. You will gain experience in Food and Beverage roles, Housekeeping, Front Office, Central Reservations and General Operations, becoming fully conversant with Hastings’ culture, working practices and product knowledge.

Mentoring

In addition to learning directly from your departmental manager during each rotation, every Trainee Manager is paired with an experienced senior manager who will mentor you throughout the programme. They’ll support your development by offering guidance, sharing insights, and helping you reflect on your experiences in each placement.

Qualification

Completing the Manager Ambassador Programme (MAP) is an integral element of this programme. MAP is a bespoke module-base programme exclusively designed for Hastings Hotels in partnership with Ulster University. Upon successful completing of the course, you will graduate with a Certificate in Personal and Professional Development.

There are opportunities throughout the programme to gather with the other Trainee Managers for specific training, reflection and review.

Upon completing the Trainee Manager programme

You will be well equipped to take on a permanent management role at one of our six luxury hotels, with the experience and expertise to excel in delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests.

Candidates should have:

  • GCSE-level education or equivalent, with grades A-C in English and Mathematics, and preferably hold a third-level qualification.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role in the hospitality sector.
