Here are our top 4 things to do this summer at Stormont Estate:-

1. The newly refurbished Mo Mowlam Play Park

This fabulous park has re-opened to the public following a major refurbishment. With a unique Castle theme, the park has over 40 separate pieces of equipment and has been specially designed to be an inclusive play park, specially designed so children of all abilities can play together. While the kids play parents can relax with a coffee from the cafe situated within the playpark.

2. The Outdoor Gym

Whine come to exercising in the great outdoors, Stormont is a favourite spot for many. With running trials, Park Run, bootcamps available there are many classes and activities you can get involved in. For those who prefer to take things at their own pace the new outdoor gym in Stormont Estate includes a range of cardio and toning equipment.

3. Parliament Buildings

The stunning Parliament Building is home to the Northern Ireland Assembly, the legislative body for Northern Ireland. It is open to the public for visits and tours through out the year. Click here for more information.

4. Free Stormont Trails

Take a stroll and enjoy one of the four trials available to follow in Stormont Estate. Each of the trials can be found on the new interactive Stormont Trails App or by lifting a map as you come through the main gates of the Estate. The trials include a History Trail which gives an insight into the rich history of Stormont Estate, an Environment Trail which lets visitors discover the heritage, fauna and wildlife on the estate, a Woodland Trail which find sensory points and features like small tree houses, bird houses and woodland carved animals around the estate and a fitness trials which has outdoor gym equipment located at various points on the route. Each trail takes around 30 minutes and offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to learn interesting facts about the estate.

The Stormont Estate opening times vary throughout the year but in general reflect daylight hours.
