Enjoy a vist to Culturlann McAdam O'Fiaich when staying at the Europa Hotel Belfast

Cultúrlann produces a vibrant arts programme that promotes Irish language and culture and provides a meeting place for visitors and locals alike. Cultúrlann is approx. 10 minutes from Europa Hotel and is accessible via public transport.

Based in a former Presbyterian church on the Falls Road, the building has had a number of incarnations during its often troubled history. As an arts centre, it is at the heart of a vibrant cultural community. Cultúrlann also houses a café and restaurant, book and gift shop and a tourist information point. The dramatic curved extension includes the Gerard Dillon art gallery, a must see for art lovers.

In the interactive space on the first floor, visitors can get an insight into the development of Irish language and culture in Belfast and on how Irish has influenced English, with words such as ‘shanty', ‘smashing' and ‘kybosh' all originating in Irish. Tourists can visit the centre, enjoy the exhibitions, hear a traditional Irish music session, browse in the shop or enjoy a meal.

A Gaeltacht Experience evening can also be booked by groups. This includes a three course meal with live traditional music, song and dance followed by a céilí (Irish dance) where everyone can have a go and learn some steps.
