What is the difference between a gift card and a gift experience voucher?

Gift Cards
Gift cards are plastic credit card sized cards which can be loaded or topped up with monetary values. They are redeemable in all Hastings Hotels establishments and have no expiry date.

Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers are paper vouchers which are for a specific hotel and specific experience. Gift Vouchers have a 12 month validity period.

What can I buy with a Hastings Hotels Gift Card?

Any experience … from overnight stays, dining in the restaurant, drinks at the bar, spa treatments and afternoon teas.

How do I redeem a Hastings Hotels Gift Card?

Make your reservation in the normal manner and present the gift card on arrival. Gift Cards are not redeemable online.

What value do Hastings Hotels Gift Cards come in?

Any value from £20.00 to £500.00 (in denominations of £10) on each card.

Does the amount have to be spent all at once?

Some or all of the money can be spent, any balance remains on the Gift Card.

Can I send a Gift Card to someone at a different address?

Yes – just enter the recipient’s name and address in the delivery section of checkout and we can send a Gift Card straight to them. The occasion can be selected during checkout, and we will include the appropriate card insert.

My gift card has not arrived …

We would advise you to allow approximately 7 working days for delivery of your Gift Card. If your card has still not arrived, please contact us at lmcintosh@hastingshotels.com, or on 028 9047 1066.

Can the gift card be emailed?

No, gift cards are plastic swipe cards, therefore, cannot be emailed. A confirmation email is issued for online purchases, however receipts or email confirmations cannot be redeemed, it is imperative a Gift Card is presented.

How can I check the balance on a Hastings Hotels Gift Card?

At any Hastings Hotels establishment or by calling 028 9047 1066. The available balance is also shown on the till receipt issued following a transaction.

Is there an expiry date on a gift card?

No, gift cards do not have an expiry date.

How do I activate a Gift Card?

No activation is necessary.

What happens if a gift card is lost, stolen or damaged?

Gift Cards have cash value and should be safeguarded accordingly. They cannot be redeemed or replaced if lost, stolen or damaged, under any circumstances. 

Can I return a Gift Card?

Gift cards cannot be returned or cancelled after the purchase is confirmed. Gift cards are non-refundable.

Yes, order online and select ‘Online PDF Delivery’ at the bottom of the ‘personalise vouchers page’. A downloadable PDF version of the voucher will be sent to your email address.

Gift Cards can be redeemed in any of the following establishments: Ballygally Castle Hotel - Antrim Coast, Culloden Estate & Spa – Belfast, the Spa at the Culloden, Cultra Inn Restaurant, Europa Hotel - Belfast, Everglades Hotel – Londonderry, Grand Central Hotel – Belfast, Slieve Donard Resort & Spa - Newcastle, the Spa at Slieve Donard, Percy French Restaurant and Stormont Hotel – Belfast. Gift Cards are not redeemable online.

2. If the amount on the gift card is not redeemed entirely, the remaining balance will remain on the Gift Card.

4. Gift Cards may be used for experiences of a higher value than the amount on the Gift Card, on payment of the difference.

5. Gift Cards are non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash.

6. Gift Cards have no expiry date.

7. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed or replaced if lost, stolen or damaged. Gift Cards have cash value and should be safeguarded accordingly.

8. We would advise you to allow approximately 7 working days for delivery of your Gift Card, however, we cannot guarantee your purchase will arrive by a specific date.

9. Hastings Hotels reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of Gift Cards at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of a Gift Card, if, in its discretion, it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Gift Experience Vouchers: Terms & Conditions

1. Gift Vouchers can be redeemed at the hotel stated on the voucher. Gift Vouchers are not transferable between hotels.

2. Gift Vouchers can be exchanged for experiences, at the same hotel, of a higher price than the face value on payment of the difference.

3. Gift Vouchers will not be exchanged for cash, nor will any change be given.

4. Gift Vouchers are non-refundable.

5. The Gift Voucher must be present for use, otherwise, an alternative payment method will be required. Receipts or confirmation emails cannot be accepted.

6. We would advise you to allow approximately 7 working days for delivery of your voucher, however, we cannot guarantee your purchase will arrive by a specific date.

7. Gift Vouchers are valid for one year from date of issue.

8. Lost, stolen or expired vouchers, unfortunately, cannot be replaced or redeemed.

9. A voucher extension may be authorised for a maximum of 3 months, from the original expiry date. All extensions incur a £10 administration fee. An extension should be requested in writing to lmcintosh@hastingshotels.com, before the original expiry date.
