Haunting Halloween Howlers at Ballygally Castle
Every castle has to have at least one ghost of some kind and it has been reported that Ballygally may have as many as three!
However, the one we know most about has been around for the best part of 400 years. The theory is that the ghost is that of Lady Isabella Shaw, wife of Lord James Shaw who built the castle.
Lady Isabella’s ghost is reputed to be a ‘friendly’ spirit who roams the hotel.
Over the years many guests have reported strange experiences and have felt a presence in their rooms! There are also endless stories of unexplained noises in the night and an eerie green mist over the castle. We are so proud of our permanent resident, we even have dedicated a bedroom to her, The Ghost Room.
Go up and see for yourself and visit the ghost room…you never know who you might bump into!
